San rock art is important because it represents one of the earliest forms of creativity in humans. It is also the first evidence of humans being able to document storytelling. The visual impact of rock art made thousand of years ago reflects of the artistic skills and sophistication of our people in South Africa. Bushman painted earliest rock art in Southern Africa 5000 years ago. This is why I find it a privelidge as a South African to do this same art in silver and gold, so that all of the world may enjoy and appreciate and keep the legacy of our Bushman art in South Africa, alive.
